Curvy Eccentric White Residence With Square Perforations

Believe it or not, this is a family house in South Korea. With square perforations and an eccentric white facade, rich in curvy lines, somehow reminding us of the Dali’s “melting” masterpieces, the Pangyo House, a project designed by Office 53427 is definitely one of those impressive architectural examples worth sharing. So here we are: a three-storey house located nearby Seoul (30 minutes by car) displays an abundance of futuristic details without neglecting the importance of nature. Basically, the house is built around a small garden, connecting the inhabitants with the environment.

By using one of the new construction technologies, Hi-Macs acrylic stone panels, the architects obtained that neat and 3D-like extruded surface, enhancing the feeling of depth. Inside, each edge seems curvy and rounded. There’s nothing regular about this houses’s structure: the “floaty” ceiling (an irregular-shaped undulating surface), the sci-fi staircase (all curved with cut outs) and the unicellular flagellate protists kind of lamps create a very unusual space for what it looks to be a family house. The architects have also integrated some wood finishings. Exquisite and unusual, the Pangyo House is absolutely stunning!

Precious White Apartment With Shabby Chic Details in Gothenburg

Scandinavian design is so simple and neat, that doesn’t need any additional glow to shine. Characterised by minimalism and most of the times, shabby chic details, Scandinavian style definitely fits people with a little drain of nonconformism in their souls. This fine apartment in Linnéstaden, one of the central districts of Gothenburg, Sweden, is gorgeous, bright and playful. In case you are looking to buy something particularly beautiful, Alvhem Mäkleri & Interiör is responsible with the selling.

The striking white floods the apartment. Despite the small space, the bedroom has its “private area”. The floor and the interior doors are made of massive wood, painted white. There are no carpets, just traditional rugs that enhance the feeling of coziness. The abundance of white is “interrupted” by colourful textures, which can be found on blankets and pillows. Now, when it comes to the kitchen, a contemporary domestic look probably defines it best. Stainless steel, smooth white luscious tiles and coffee cups hanging from the wall, complete the soothing décor. One can instantly fall in love with the view and the simplicity surrounding this home-like environment. If you are looking for a peaceful environment, compact and cozy, this might be an excellent solution.

Modern Lifestyle in Cleveland: Neat Rectangular House Embracing the Impeccable White

The Shaker Heights House is a project developed by Dimit Architects and completed in the summer of 2012. The project spreads over 7200 square feet. Surrounded by a sea of trees, the house looks spectacular during fall, when the leaves play gently their own swing of decadence. The residence is located in Cleveland, Ohio and it is composed of two wings which unite and form the core of the house, an open kitchen with a staggering view over the courtyard. The clients, a young family requested a dynamic home, with plenty of space and luminosity and a very good division of the public and the private areas.

As a consequence, the architects chose to separate the living room and the entertaining areas ( the social gathering spots) from the bedrooms, the office and the gym. The public area is very bright and neat, “flooded” in a milky white, giving that impeccable look to the interior. The shiny white floors blend with the wood creating an interesting contrast. The result is a very modern place, incredibly welcoming and comfortable. The exterior patio has a fireplace embedded, which is really cool, especially at night when the chill “tickles” the skin. Simply amazing, right?

Huawei Ascend W1 makes an appearance in Blue and White
We’ve kept anxious eyes on Huawei’s Ascend W1 for a while now, so imagine our disappointment when it was a no-show at the Windows Phone 8 launch. Fortunately, a Huawei employee has tweeted a pair of pictures that show the device in all of its budget-handset glories. Gone are the rounded corners of handsets like the Ascend D Quad, in favor of a boxier aesthetic that sits well with Metro Windows 8 Style whatever we’re calling it this week. Hardware-wise, it’s believed to be carrying a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 4-inch, 800 x 480 display, 2,000mAh battery and a 5-megapixel camera. There’s also an unconfirmed rumor that we’ll first see the China-exclusive device at CES 2013, breaking the hearts of impoverished westerners everywhere.

Minimalist Apartment Design in Moscow Spiced Up With Bold Colors: White Cube

Minimalism in interior design is usually associated with soberness, a high level of practicability and lack of personality. But we ran over an interesting apartment design in Moscow, which seems to defy some of the rules. White Cube was envisioned and implemented by Sergey Nasedkin and Anna Ulyanova (principals of Russian studio ARCH.625) and showcases an interesting mix of materials and decorations, spiced up with daring colors.

The original apartment has a total surface of 861 square feet (about 80 square meters), yet its layout and design inspires space throughout. White walls define the interiors and wood is partially employed to create stunning visual contrasts. Natural light during the day is ensured by various windows in key places, while subtle lighting in the ceilings contribute to an “alert” atmosphere during the evenings and night time. But for us, the highlights of this apartment are the decorations, seamlessly blending in the overall composition. What is your stand on this apartment design? See any particular details you enjoy?

Sprint confirms HTC EVO 4G LTE in white, battle of exclusive phone colors rages on
Not to be outdone by that red Galaxy S III over at AT&T, Sprint has confirmed that its inadvertent ad posting wasn’t just a fluke: it’s bringing out a white version of the EVO 4G LTE. Strictly speaking, it’s more of a aluminum-with-white-accents trim, but we’ll let that slide given that the back and kickstand are now decidedly less smudge-prone. The white EVO will cost as much as that Galaxy S III variant (and the black EVO) at $200 on a contract. Sprint will start selling the white hue on July 15th — and unlike AT&T, it should have phones on shelves rather than leave customers to online window shopping.

Awe-Inspiring 5 Star Resort Surrounded By White Sand Beaches

In our search for the most beautiful resorts, we came across the Labriz Silhouette Seychelles – a 5 star collection of pavilions surrounded by the Indian Ocean. Captured in between white sand beaches and offering magnificent views of the mist-hidden, forest-covered Mount Dauban, the luxury resort welcomes guests in an awe-inspiring setting. Complementing the surroundings, the exotic accommodations blur the lines between inside and outside. The island is only a 45-minute boat ride from the capital, but the feeling it gives is of a tropical paradise far from any care. Pavilions feature private plunge pools, outdoor showers and exceptional natural-colored interiors. Spa treatment suites were placed on massive boulders emerging from the forest, creating a unique bond between guest and island. Traditional Seychelles cuisine can be enjoyed in the restaurants or on the beach and a wide array of activities like sea expeditions, big-game fishing or island excursions will quench your thirst for adventure.

White House appoints Todd Park as new Chief Technology Officer
The White House hasn’t wasted any time replacing the vacancy left by Aneesh Chopra, who recently stepped down as our nation’s first appointed Chief Technology Officer. Following in his well-accomplished footsteps is Todd Park, a federal employee who’s no stranger to the position at hand given his former role as CTO of the US Department of Health and Services. Park is credited with the launch of HealthCare.gov and is now tasked with “applying the newest technology and latest advances to make the Federal government work better for the American people.” While we’re sure those tasks don’t include setting up Sasha and Malia’s personal Pinterest accounts, he certainly has a long road ahead, dragging ‘ol Pennsylvania Avenue kicking and screaming into our digital age.
