Hello everyone and wishing you a happy weekend ahead! For all of you out there who are currently decorating your apartment- fingers crossed! Here are this Saturday’s Freshome tips “materialized” in ten photos paying tribute to unusual design. Enjoy and don’t forget to leave your opinions in the comments section below. To start off, here is a kitchen that emanates so much energy, that it is impossible for anyone to remain indifferent to its design. Splashes of colors here and there elegantly contrast the white and gray walls. Combining traditional with contemporary elements, the overall result is dynamic and eye-catching.

Want to add a touch of craziness to your dining room? Here is one way to do it… This unique table features a clean, wooden tabletop, yet everything around it is out of the ordinary. The pendant lamp, its feet and the red chairs make for a fun and unusual atmosphere.

You have a fireplace that is no longer functional and do not know how to go about it? A beautiful room with traditional details could be the answer. This interior below is so captivating and charming, don’t you agree?

If the previous table we featured is too wacky for your tastes, here is one that should appeal to your sober side. Concrete usually inspires seriousness, but this design showcases an overall elegant and happy tone. Would you like to have an office like this?

This small bed situated so close to the window has a special charm and is perfect for the children’s room. Why? Because when reading, natural light is as important as it gets. And I am a firm believer that kids should spend more time reading books than around computers.

Who says heat pipes have to be covered with all means? Here is an idea to prove you wrong. This home has quite a few charming “industrial” design details, that are mixed in a spectacular manner. And just look at how cleverly the chair was integrated in the room.

If you have a soft spot for modern, open plan interiors, here is one to get you inspired. Semi-oval windows, tall ceilings, columns and a giant fireplace in the middle make this place original.

Here is a small and beautiful attic room that answers the need for privacy anytime. A comfortable bed is situated in the “shelter zone” inspired by the inclined wall. Next to the window, there is a lovely chair, making every book a pleasure to read.

Next off, we have another setting that allows one to dream, this time integrated in a modern atmosphere. I chose the image below, because I know many of you out there enjoy large, contemporary bedrooms. And this one has a fluffy carpet in the middle, which gives it a warm and delicate feel.

I would like to end this post with an idea that will certainly appeal to nature lovers. A natural looking terrace facing a mesmerizing landscape inspires a dreamy atmosphere, by using such few design elements.

Hello, everyone and welcome to another Saturday of great finds. For today we gathered up some interesting interiors that we believe will nicely add up to your decorating ideas. The first photo we would like to feature is taken in a spectacular looking apartment located in Darlinghurst, New South Wales, Australia. This particular interior is the focal point of the house and accommodates some of the wackiest elements this loft has to offer, such as a SPA and a barbecue section. Find it appealing?

Now this is a nice setting for a piano player to practice his or her skills. Enormous windows and giant palm-trees right outside your home could definitely count as good inspiration sources.

Here is an interesting red furniture piece that not only brings color to the room, but also adds dynamism. The random-shaped storage units (some of them inclined) can be quite useful when integrated in an office or a modern living room.

Reading corners are a real trend these days and we couldn’t be happier about it. Not only do they encourage reading, but they do it in such a delightful and aesthetic way, don’t you agree? Here is one below to stir up your story appetite.

This bedroom does not come with a view, but with two of them. One through the large, floor to ceiling windows (or sliding door) and the other, through the ceiling. Find this idea practical?

This room is probably good for taking some time off in solitude, or have your friends over for a board-game. Slanted walls and large windows give it a great atmosphere, especially if some of the candles on the stairs are lit.

We really like the contrast that the timber creates with the yellow quartz and the games of light and shades which can be observed in the photo below. The little girl going down the stairs gives the whole interior a happy look.

The geometry of this room is intriguing, but in the same time original and inspiring. The exposed wooden beams, together with the curved lines of the sofa and chair create unusual lines that playfully direct your sight around the room.

Not a bad looking outdoor terrace, wouldn’t you agree? This photo was taken of a project called “The Letterbox House” and built on a modest suburban beach home scale. Its shape is truly ingenious, just click the link in this paragraph for the initial article, as featured on Freshome.

Hello everyone and hope you guys are having a sunny Saturday, with plenty of week-end cheerfulness to look forward to! Over here it’s been one cold autumn day after another, but not something that a little cozy crib couldn’t handle. For today’s Freshome Design Spotter we’ve decided to fight bad weather and start off with a photo that has potential in doing so.

Situated amongst the trees, on the edge of a delightful beach, this bed inspires sweet relaxation. There is nothing more pleasant than enjoying complete comfort in the middle of a dreamy nature landscape, and this design setting scores high in both coziness and location.

And if outside is rough, why don’t we make the most of the heated space we have? This indoor pool does not occupy a lot of room and seems pretty deep. We like the idea, even thought is looks quite expensive.

Next off, we would like to show you a different type of bed, integrated in an interior that also communicates with nature, even if it does it quite differently. This bedroom is very large in size and instead of common TV furniture, it employs natural stone as support. The idea is interesting to say the least.

What a lovely way to add a warm message to a wall. Even if that message is “STAY”- plenty of scenarios going in my head about the couple living here and their strange habits. But the room looks nice,  admit it.

Bed number three comes from  Vetsch Architektur and their incredible Earth Homes. The furniture below is not just ecological, but also has a strong aesthetic effect. Last, but not least, the strong white-blue color contrast is a very daring and inspiring one.

I’ve been meaning to get a blackboard integrated in my home for some time now, but I guess I was just too lazy to find a proper spot for it. It would probably be smaller than this one, but have drawings on it just as naive.

For those of you in love with traditional decorations, here is a room that abounds in color and creativity.There must be a dozen pillows in this photo, but doesn’t each seem to have its perfect spot and role in this design composition?

Here is a simple and creative idea to hide the wires in your home. Just add a funny red bird and some green leaves and ta-na! the room gets a fresh decorating touch and the annoying wire is no longer as annoying.

I like the way this staircase makes a visual arrow and points towards the ground floor, what I don’t like is that it becomes the focal point of the hallway. This way, the art pieces are not as highlighted as they should be. Love the dog.

This next idea is as cozy as it gets. The limited space is optimized in creating a comfortable seating unit. There is also some space underneath the bench for extra storage. One could use this type of arrangement for a reading corner or simply for relaxation.

Hello, everyone! For this week’s Freshome Design Spotter, we would like to present some special photos that got plenty of attention on our Facebook page. In fact, they were so appreciated, that we just had to feature them on the site too, for everyone to see and comment.

We will begin with a visually stunning home and yacht combo that will probably relate to all the luxury fans out there. We featured this photo on Facebook here and find it really cool to have a residence with access to both water and road. We were also expecting a giant car to be integrated in the landscape. Oh, well, maybe next time.

Here is a home that resembles one of those decorative stone fountains most of you out there probably saw or even used in your home decor. The lavish design of this pool make it seem sprung out from a children’s story book, yet having a strong appeal on both kids and adults.

Let’s change the tone and enjoy this peaceful and cozy bed hung from a traditional ceiling. It’s a pity the actual mechanism can not be entirely observed, but the idea is great and worth improvising around it. Featured this photo on Facebook here.

Take your time and read this next message until the end, as it is really, really nice. Of course, not many people would go for an idea like this, which is why we find the photo quite daring and not to mention original.

A generous interior painted in light turquoise, with a fireplace descending from the ceiling and a rug displaying a skeleton head? It may sound crazy, but you have to admit the photo below is nothing but boring. It may look strange for some, but at least it is very well defined and not at all common.

Do you like your books in bed? Then have a look at this amazing design below and let your mind drift away in great literature. Or just keep your brain occupied with matters of science. Either way, the arrangements are perfect for enjoying every book to the fullest.

alk about practical solutions for kids’ rooms! This miniature interior has everything it needs, from plenty of storage space to a cool wallpaper and comfy bed. When we posted this photo on Facebook, we have plenty of “pro” opinions, but also people who found this idea a bit too optimized. What do you think?

Here is a door that slides a bit differently. Witty and aesthetically pleasing, this idea would go great in a minimalist home where optimizing the indoor-outdoor connection is an important focus point.

Not many people like their bathroom and bedroom combined. But perhaps this next picture will change some negative attitudes. This is definitely not an interior for the shy. But you have to admit it is very interesting.

How do you feel about large, traditional mirrors next to your bathtub? This next interior harmoniously places them together, and to top it all- literally, adds a traditional chandelier. Sure, people may have problems keeping the mirror clean at all times, but all in all, the arrangement is original and intriguing.
