10 Floor Plans of the Most Famous TV Apartments in the World

We have something special for you today: 10 floor plans of the most famous apartments on TV, which you will probably recognize without us having to tell you which one’s which. We got so used to seeing Jerry Seinfeld’s apartment for over ten seasons, that his small living room with couch in the middle and tiny kitchen has become more than familiar. And aside from being tidy all the time, Monica’s place from “Friends” is what most of us dream of when imagining a comfy crib.

In addition to the homes seen in “Friends” and “Seinfeld”, the photos below (discovered on the Deviant Art profile of Spanish designer Iñaki Aliste Lizarralde ) include floor plans of Carrie Bradshaw’s place, the residence of Dexter Morgan or Sheldon and Leonard’s apartment from American sitcom “Big Bang Theory”. So if you ever had your design-related doubts or wanted to find out more about the layout of each of the apartments below, here’s you chance!

Incredible Permanent Marker Floor Installation in a Cafe in Prague

We ran across this interesting art installation by Cologne-based artist Heike Weber for a cafe in Prague. Believe it or not, the floors of the venue were given their current bold look by using a permanent marker. The cafe is entitled ‘Bodenlos’, which literally means ‘loosing the ground under your feet’, hence the choice for the wavy patterns. We don’t know about you guys, but to us, this project looks amazing and we can’t help but feel overwhelmed at the amount of work invested in it.

Discovered on dsgn Wrld, the project of Heike Weber adds color and further dimensions to the space. If you look closely, you will notice how the lines on the floor create undulating surfaces, which can mesmerize and hold your attention for a long time. The artist has an impressive portfolio, which consists of various marker installations in unexpected places. Find her work compatible with modern interior design?

Imposing Contemporary Residence With a T-Shaped Floor Plan in Zagreb

The highly modern the J20 House in Zagreb, Croatia was designed by studio DAR612 as a “juxtaposition of two elements – a primary longitudinal wing with white finish, and a perpendicular element covered in dark wood coating. A T-shaped floor plan enables maximum south and west orientation, as well as views from both levels”. The residence is surrounded by a courtyard providing just enough space for outdoor leisure activities.
The residence is structured as follows: “A two story-high entry divides the house into two segments connected with a wooden bridge: the east segment is a secondary space with a garage on the ground floor and children’s area on the first floor; the west segment contains the main living spaces and parents’ quarters on the upper floor“. The interiors exude openness and their minimalism is contrasted by warmth coming from the wooden additions. A large swimming pool is located above the living room and can be spotted from other parts of the house as well.

Ingeniously Designed Two Floor Apartment With Decadent Accents

Located in a charming apartment building in Gothenburg’s Kungsladugård area, this 51 square meter two floor apartment apartment spreads over two levels. Wooden floors are highlighted by natural sunshine bouncing off white walls. Two windows facing different directions ensure a cheery atmosphere on sunny days. The lower level is reserved for social spaces like the open floor living room integrating the kitchen. A stylish dark blue hallway mirroring the dark sculptural staircase in the living room greets guests in a light-filled, functional space duo.

On the same floor, a bathroom displays a wide strip of red til, marking a challenge to personalize the space by adding colorful accents. The upstairs floor plan is composed of a bedroom on one side of the staircase and a working space on the other side. I imagine living here someone who loves natural light and loves this discreet lack of brightness in the attic-turned-bedroom space. Taking advantage of the building’s a lush garden and nearby cafes or alluring little shops, the lucky dweller will feel the urban influence while enjoying pleasant surroundings. Seen at Stadshem, the apartment shares the same 1937 building with other 22 condominiums. I can’t help but wonder how neighboring apartments look like.

Hard To Ignore Glass Floor In High-End Mexican Penthouse

Constructing a positive, comfortable home with intriguing details that keeps inhabitants content and guests mesmerized is a real challenge. The result must be flattering and compose a certain atmosphere. Guadalajara-based studio Hernandez Silva Arquitectos managed to do that with the PPDG Penthouse, a residential space located on the 15th floor of a 70′s Mexican colonial building in Guadalajara. Striking modern design seen throughout culminates with a unique powder room looking down an unused 15 story lift shaft through a revealing glass floor.

Invaded by natural light coming from frameless glass windows, the loft was divided into day and night spaces, with the possibility of customizing the sleeping space into one or two bedrooms with the help of easily movable screens. The day area is comprised of an open plan dining, living and kitchen zone opening to a terrace overlooking the nearby park. Two glossy walls separate the spaces and construct a brighter interior by reflecting the light. The white wall hides the staircase and elevator, while the red one complements the kitchen and adds a contemporary charm to the overall design. Versatile and prepared to offer relaxing and entertaining moments, the PPDG Penthouse surrounds owners with an up-to-date, unique interior design.

Ergonomic FLOTE Floor Stand Reducing Strains And Pain [Video]
![FLOTE FLOTE Ergonomic FLOTE Floor Stand Reducing Strains And Pain [Video]](http://cdn.freshome.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/FLOTE.jpg)
The ergonomic FLOTE floor stand for iPad, Kindle and most tablets and eReaders, is an elegant addition to any home. Helping technology lovers interact with their favorite tablet, FLOTE can be used to read, watch or browse while comfortably resting on a chair, sofa or even in bed. The hands-free device is made of beautifully machined metal and easily adjusts to your position. It also addresses the growing issue of strains and pain from prolonged use of tablets. Designer Dave Cutler – who created the device that “floats” your tablet – describes the process from inspiration to finished product: “My goal when designing FLOTE was to create an elegant solution that truly enhances the user experience of interacting with a sophisticated piece of technology like the iPad. Beyond providing a hands-free experience, it also had to compliment the iPad aesthetically and not detract from it. (After all, what’s the point of having a clean, delicate industrial design if you combine it with a clunky or bulky stand?)

The inspiration for FLOTE’s design are high-end modern design floor lamps. These elegant devices serve a purpose- directing light- but are objects of art themselves to be enjoyed, whether the light is on or off. Also similar to these lamps, I wanted FLOTE to offer a sense of engineered thoughtfulness in terms of form and functionality, along with a sense of craftsmanship and quality utilizing precision-machined metals and great industrial design.” FLOTE was first introduced on Kickstarter.com and comes in a variety of finishes. Its small footprint (12 inches in diameter) makes it perfect even for small spaces. Easily sliding over floors and carpets, the FLOTE will quickly become your favorite device.

Ingenious Shelving Units: Hole in the Floor Series by Raw Edges

The collaboration between Yael Mer & Shay Alkalay led to the founding of Raw Edges, a design studio with a clever and original portfolio. For today we chose to present their project called Hole in the Floor and consisting of a series of ingenious shelving units. Based on the idea of things unexpectedly ending (in a physical sense), the unusual furniture pieces resemble vertical drawers which were literally sliced at the bottom. The impression a viewer gets is-as the name of the project suggests- that of a hole in the floor. We not only appreciate the originality of this idea, but its simplicity and elegance as well. The shelves come in a variety of sizes and can be used in both traditional and modern interiors. No mention about their cost on the official website of the designers, but if you are interested in making a purchase, try to contact them here.
