Colourful Hotel in Switzerland Inspiring an “Almost Home” Kind of Feeling

25 Hours Hotel in Zurich is one of those places, bright, cozy and adorable that spread a contagious good mood. To all those who take some time to relax in Switzerland, don’t miss this spot! With a policy that promotes comfort and good mood, the hotel is an exquisite example of fresh and animated contemporary design. Situated in one of the highest buildings in Zurich West, the home of the largest multiplex cinema is the “almost home” place, as the hotel constantly tries to remind you (through text embedded in pillows and cushions). The hotel was designed by Alfredo Häberli Design Development and Aeberli Vega Zanghi Architekten.

The beautiful curtains from the social area, that allow the light to pass in, through small snowflake-like embroidery patterns reminded us that…Christmas is almost here! The room is an “overload” of colours and shapes. The cool red ceiling is a proof that you are experiencing a different type of hotel. Edgy, comfortable, personalized. Basically, at 25 Hours Hotel you have 126 different rooms to choose from. To book a room for one night will cost you between $ 160 and $ 400, depending on the season. Elegant, playful and cozy, the hotel is definitely something called “a must stay”!

Colourful Children’s Bathroom by Laufen

Ideal for use in nurseries, kindergartens and schools, these small-scale kid’s bathrooms are designed especially with little ones in mind. Imaginative, colourful and playful, what child wouldn’t want to use the florakids range from Laufen?
The rounded shapes, bold colours and influences from the animal and plant kingdoms give the florakids bathroom a feeling of fantasy and playfulness, which creates an environment perfect for kids to learn about hygiene.
The centrepiece is a washstand with a basin in the shape of a flower blossom, available in white, red or green. The range also features ceramic shelves, shaped like little clouds that can be used to complement the washbasin and they come in matching colours too. Mirrors are available in a red mirror flower design, or a green mirror caterpillar design whereby the mirrors can be lined up in series to create a comical caterpillar.
As the range is designed especially for children, the ergonomically-designed florakids WCs have no sharp edges or corners. The seats, which are available in white, red or green, are smaller in diameter and have a mini back support so children are not afraid of falling in. The ergonomic seat also lets kids who are potty training grasp onto the ears on the left and right of the seat. The single-lever mixer for the washbasin is easy for children to use as well as being hygienic.

With the florakids range by Laufen, using the bathroom should be child’s play!! What do you think?

Colourful Contemporary Clocks Collection from Pilot Design
Keith Moore created for Pilot Design a collection of beautiful, modern clocks that can be purchased from Etsy. Often using bamboo or other sustainable materials, Keith Moore has been building modern furniture for almost 10 years. The collection gathers round and square clocks, but also clocks with a beautiful coloured pendulum. The clocks are made from MDF and some of them have colourful laminates in red, blue, green bamboo, Kona, Kentucky Craftwood etc. Beautifully crafted, the clocks come in two dimensions: 10” and 22”.

The Honeycomb clock has an unusual patterned lattice design that casts beautiful shadows on the wall and creates a sophisticated contrast on a dark wall. The Cornell Dark Modern Clock, for example, is made from a Kona pattern laminate with silver metallic numbers. The red hands are bright enough to pop out and tell the time. Some of the clocks have cutout patterns while others symbolise the natural transition of day into night with the help of vinyl. Moore`s love for typography led him to adorn some of the wall clocks with contemporary vinyl numbers that stand out on any of your home`s walls. A gear-shaped clock is definitely one of the most beautiful in the collection and will surely decorate the walls of your home with a surprising visual detail.
