Cozy Coffee Hotspot Blending With The Beautiful Surroundings

There’s something about coffee and mornings. A fresh start always goes hand in hand with a good coffee. Add a staggering site and place a wonderful-inspired-by-the-landscape coffeehouse. In case you dream of serving your morning coffee in a picturesque place, here’s an option: the cozy and cute café, in the Botanical Garden of Akureyri, Iceland. The place was designed by the local based studio, Kollgáta Arkitektur. The small studio provides all types of architecture and design services. In particular, the café from the garden, blends with the beautiful surroundings. It has a small terrace, where you can serve coffee while enjoying the shy rays of sun and the spectacular mix of natural colors.

Inside, a wooden-rustic design awaits to be explored. You have different types of tables (rounded, rectangular – depending on what you intend to do). You can bring your laptop, let yourself inspired by the site and work effectively. The architects didn’t want to steal the nature’s grandeur, that’s why, the coffeehouse comes as an accessory to the garden and not as a revolutionary high-tech building. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows allow the light to slip inside. Peaceful and inspirational, this is definitely the ultimate place to be, in case you want to enjoy both nature and coffee.

Beautiful Autumnal Getaway Home in Albemarle County, Virginia

Really picturesque, this stunning residence bordered by the woodlands, was designed by the architect Robert M. Gurney. Away from the urban landscape, the Becherer House, located in Albemarle County, Virginia, is composed of three pavilions, each with different views upon the beautiful autumnal site. The central pavilion, accommodating the living room and the kitchen is the most transparent, flooded by light and with a stunning opening towards the pastures that surround, on one side, the house. “A screened porch and bluestone terrace, running the length of the house provides a stage to view sunsets over the pastures while a manicured lawn and dry-stacked slate wall provide an ordered transition from the house to the woods beyond.”

Ideal to rediscover the simple things in life, but not in a simplistic manner, this is the place to be, if you’re looking for a relaxing environment, in order to fill your life with happy moments. The interior is neat and cozy, embellished with wood finishings. Simply lovely, the contemporary Becherer House blossoms in autumn time, when the leaves begin to change colours, revealing a wonderful play of ever-changing colours. Is there something in particular you like about this residence?

Cost Efficient Modern Residence with Beautiful Lake Views in Canada

Nestled amid towering oak trees, House on the Bluffs is an impressive modern residence designed by Toronto-based studio Taylor Smyth Architects in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. The stucco-box home was mostly developed vertically and is structured on two levels, each defined by spectacular glass additions. According to the architects, the modest budget required a rigorous approach to cost saving measures: “the wood framing was built using a panelized construction system from a local Ontario company. All floor, wall and roof components were prefabricated, then shipped to and assembled on site. The advantages included a significantly stronger structure, less waste and energy use and quicker installation (less than half the time compared to traditional methods) which resulted in approximately $10,000 of savings; the existing foundations and basement walls were re-used, saving several weeks of construction time; and Algonquin stone, left over from another job site, was salvaged for the feature walls and exterior walkways“. The project has a total surface of 2300 square feet and was designed in connection to its reach environment, ensuring that every room has a different experience with the lake and green landscape-enjoy the views!
